We are the ones who talk to our pets like they understand us, who rearrange our lives around their comfort, who love them in a way that is completely irrational and absolutely correct. We sign up, eyes wide open, to get our hearts broken every decade if we are lucky and far sooner when we are not. And we do it anyway, every single time, because the love is worth every bit of it.

Wildlore exists for us.

In 2024 I walked away from seventeen years of teaching high school, or as we call it in Norway, videregående. It was the right decision, even if it was not an easy one. In 2025, cancer took my cat Elroy at thirteen years old, magnificently fluffy and entirely irreplaceable. Pet people know. The house just felt different.

Wildlore was born out of that. Out of grief, burnout and love. Out of the creativity that was always there, waiting for space to breathe. Out of a lifetime of making art rooted in nature, folklore and the mystical. The journey included a year and a half of tattooing and helping people express themselves authentically, and a deep belief that I have something particular to offer. A way of helping that is entirely my own.

That something is Wildlore. A way to bring your pet with you everywhere, to memorialise them, to celebrate them, and to express the love, joy and devotion that sometimes has no other outlet. I am an artist based in southern Norway, deeply intrigued by the natural world, and I make every piece with intention and a whole lot of heart.
